Language Arts

Phonics, phonemes, and fluency, oh my! Language arts is about recognizing letters, pronouncing sounds, and exploring words. It’s an exciting time when kids start to read fluently and develop a love of books.

Writing

Writing is about practicing letters, drawing pictures, and starting to write simple words and sentences. It’s a fun way for kids to express their creativity, embrace their curiosity, and share their ideas on paper.

Number Sense

In kindergarten, math is all about exploring numbers, shapes, and patterns in a super fun way. From pattern recognition and counting to adding and subtracting, I’ll help your child build confidence early on!

Your kiddo’s first day of kindergarten is a BIG DEAL.

Not only is it a huge reminder that your little one is growing up but your child is starting one of the biggest adventures of their academic journey. As you travel this journey with them, there may be times when you need help supporting your child academically. They might need help pronouncing tricky letter sounds or understanding number values. Or maybe they need extra practice with their handwriting. Whatever your reason for being here, I can help you and your Little Learner start the school year off strong!

Kindergarten is one of the most foundational steps in your child’s academic career, so it’s super important that your child grasps the concepts they learn in class. But what happens if your kiddo is having a hard time keeping up? As much fun as kindergarten is, your child is learning everything from self-control to handwriting for the first time, and it can be overwhelming for young learners to take it all in. Not to mention, watching your child struggle in school is heartbreaking, especially if you don’t have the time or resources to help them.

That’s where tutoring can be a lifesaver. Kiddos who work with me lead the way with self-paced sessions focused solely on them and the topics they’re struggling with. I tailor sessions to match your child’s individual learning needs and incorporate techniques I use in the classroom to help kids understand challenging concepts. Best of all, I teach with play-based activities because playing is how kids learn best!
